Dimensional Branding Group (DBG) is excited to announce a new entertainment partnership between Pop-A-Shot and the Harlem Globetrotters to bring the fun of the iconic and beloved Globetrotters into homes nationwide with the original Pop-A-Shot hoops game.
Pop-A-Shot created the original arcade basketball game in 1981, subsequently introducing electronic scoreboards, dual shot versions, infrared scoring, and steel frame before entering the home market where the brand flourished. Their current licensed games include NCAA teams from UCLA to University of Texas. Their current licensed partners include Super Impulse, Basic Fun, Alchemy 3, and Trau & Loevner.
The Harlem Globetrotters are worldwide icons, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills. The Globetrotters represent 90-plus years of breaking down barriers, acts of goodwill and a commitment to fans that goes beyond the game. They have played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 124 countries and territories, entertaining popes, queens, presidents, and millions around the globe.
“We’re extremely excited to begin producing Pop-A-Shots with the logos and colors of the Globetrotters,” said Pop-A-Shot Owner Tony Stucker. “It’s a great partnership between two iconic basketball brands.”
“At Dimensional Branding Group, we grew up with Pop-A-Shot and Harlem Globetrotters. It feels like a perfect fit to bring the joy of basketball home to the family.” Morgan Ward, DBG.
Natalie Setton, VP of Commercial for Herschend Entertainment Studios and Harlem Globetrotters said, “Adding Pop-Shop to our expanding list of licensees, offers a fun way to bring the Harlem Globetrotters off the courts and into the homes of our fans and families.
