Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nuggie, Fans Fall for First Sad Nuggie Store Opening
The Sad Nuggie craze reached new heights this weekend as Ryan Thompson and Rowan Carter, the creative minds behind our favorite chicken nugget, opened the first-ever Sad Nuggie storefront in Strathroy, Ontario. Hundreds of fans crowded the shop to celebrate the grand opening, eager to explore the unique theme the Sad Nuggie team created.
Fans embraced the fall spirit at the Nuggie-themed pumpkin patch, where they could pick out their own Nuggie pumpkins for an Instagram-worthy photo shoot. The Sad Nuggie team also released exclusive in-store products, including jumbo Nuggie plushies, which quickly became a crowd favorite. The famous Adoption Center added a personal touch, allowing fans to “adopt” their Nuggie complete with certificates and custom accessories, making each plush purchase feel extra special.
People traveled from across Canada and the United States to get their hands on Nuggie merchandise, clearing shelves of plushies, stationery, stickers, and other limited-edition items. The energy of the crowd and the excitement online only emphasized the rapid growth of the Nuggie community.
Adding to the brand’s momentum, Sad Nuggie recently collaborated with skincare brand CeraVe, launching an animated short featuring Nuggie using CeraVe products to get ready for a big date.
With dedicated fans and exciting new projects, Sad Nuggie is proving it’s more than just a character—it’s a full-blown movement. From plushies to animation partnerships, Ryan Thompson and the Nuggie team show no signs of slowing down as they continue spreading smiles, one Nuggie at a time.
