NEUCHATEL SWITZERLAND, February 1, 2012 – Miniclip today announces the appointment of the Dimensional Branding Group (DBG) as its exclusive licensing agency for representation of the Miniclip(R) brand, first-party game title characters and related intellectual property for use on branded merchandise. DBG will work directly with Miniclip’s newly formed licensing group, headed by Chris Bergstresser, the Director of Business Development.

“For millions of people around the world, Miniclip is the number one place for them to enjoy games. It’s a natural extension to license the brand for lifestyle products that are innovative and engaging,” said Chris Bergstresser of Miniclip. “The Dimensional Branding Group brings the perfect blend of interactive, digital industry knowledge and contemporary licensing expertise that will enable us to extend the Miniclip brand to a wider audience.”

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dimensional Branding Group (DBG) focuses on brand extension with a unique emphasis on licensing, inter-active expertise, promotion and business development services. DBG specializes in developing digital games and iconic brand trademarks into entertainment placement and new extension markets.

“DBG is very proud and excited to be a member of Miniclip’s licensing team and we plan to carefully build dimensional brand extension programs that will become unique and progressive consumer product initiatives,” said Larry Seidman, CEO of Dimensional Branding Group.

John Leonhardt, President of Dimensional Branding Group, who will be leading the DBG Miniclip licensing team adds, “As a platform and digital game industry veteran, I have always admired the Miniclip brand and its properties, I look forward to expanding the brand presence in the consumer products industry.  Many Miniclip’s first-party titles are long running franchises whose fans feel they inhabit the characters and scenarios—these are ideal properties for licensing into more traditional categories such as toys, publishing, home décor, and stationery.”
Miniclip, the international game company has come a long way from its origins in a small London flat, where in 2001 its two co-founders, Robert Small and Tihan Presbie, filmed and created the massive viral Flash game “Dancing Bush”. In the decade since, Miniclip has grown to be recognized as one of the world’s top games publishers, with 65 million unique users playing over 650 games on website Miniclip.com.
Miniclip has worked hard to meet user trends and demands, and remains the first choice for quality casual games online. Most recently it has launched into the mobile games market, where titles including “Gravity Guy” and “iStunt 2” have reached the top spots in the iTunes App Charts.
With the Miniclip pipeline expanding rapidly, both online and in the mobile division, the next ten years are set to be a very exciting time for Miniclip and its fans.
